Honda CBR250R - Coming to India in April 2011


Overview of 2011 New Honda CBR250R

Honda has unvieled the all new 2011 Honda CBR250R and it is expected to be launched in India in April 2011. According to sources it is going to be manufactured in India and Thailand. Thanks to localisation of parts, the expected price of Honda CBR250R is around Rs. 1.50 lakhs for non ABS version and around Rs. 1.70 lakhs for the ABS variant. Honda CBR250R will be first bike in 250cc segment to features combined anti-lock braking system which prevents wheel lock during sudden braking or under unfavorable conditions.

Honda is going to launch the CBR250R in April and in order to be the first to get your hands on this machine, you have to book before the launch. The Honda CBR250R has been priced at Rs. 150000 and CBR250R with Combined ABS will cost Rs. 170000. The booking price for the both the models were decided Rs. 15000 and Rs. 18000 respectively. Now the company has announced the new booking price i.e. Rs. 5000. Now the buyer can book Honda CBR 250R ABS and Honda CBR 250R non-ABS with booking price of Rs. 5000, each.

Toyota Etios is here - Most refined car in its segment

Overview of Toyota Etios

Toyota India unvieled its all new small car Etios Hatchback and Etios Sedan concept at the Auto Expo 2010. Toyota India has launched the sedan variant of Etios and the hatchback version will be launched in March, 2011. The diesel variants of both the versions will feature the same engine which we have seen in Corolla Altis diesel and will be launched in June, 2011. In addition to India, the Toyota Etios (the name means 'the origin of') hatchback - Etios Liva will also be sold in Russia, South America and perhaps other emerging markets.

All these prices are ex-showroom New Delhi. The base variant of Etios - Etios J is priced at Rs. 4.96 lakhs and top of the line Etios VX is priced at Rs. 6.86 lakhs. The prices of Toyota Etios seems to be very competitive considering the fact that it is a Toyota and the build quality is top notch. But less price doesn't mean that base variant will sell in huge numbers, buyers also want good looks and loads of features in a car of this segment. It is expected that the demand for "V" and "VX" variants will be more in comparison to the base variants.

The Etios features a 1.5 litre petrol engine which generates maximum power of 90 Bhp at 5600 rpm with maximum torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. Plans for diesel motor are on hold and the buyers will only have the choice of petrol engine initially. Under ARAI standard conditions, Toyota etios returns a mileage of 17.64 kmpl.
